1932 | Born August 16th, in Paris. His father is a Hungarian and his mother Polish. |
1960-1962 | Makes his first wooden furniture, strongly influenced by Swedish and Danish designers like Arne Jacobsen, Poul Kjaerholm and Hans Wegner. |
1965 | Interior designs for the 'Station de Sports d'Hiver de Avoriaz', a modern ski resort in France. |
1966 | Opens a design shop 'L'Echoppe' in Paris. |
1967 | Designs his first chair for Knoll, France. |
1970 | Creates a range of pieces of furniture made of glassfibre for Candilis, France. |
1971 | Works for Knoll International. Designs a series of beds and a series of office desks. |
1973 | An exhibition opens at the 'Musée des Arts Décoratifs', Nantes, displaying ten years of Marc Held's designs. Creates a dinner-service for Coquet in Limoges. |
1974 | Designs five watches for Lip. |
