| 1978 | The megaquartz watch with a frequency of 4,194,304 Hz is launched at the 1978 Basle Fair. The second one in the world to be released with a frequency this high. Caliber 667.26 with a two pole rotating stepping motor. Three different versions were sold: gold plated, model 7900, steel, model 4900, and with leather strap, model 4880. They were sold in a limited and registered edition of only 2000 pieces, starting with no. 5000. |
