1966 | At the Basle Fair in 1966 Lip showed a ladies' electric watch which never came into production. This watch was modified and became the world's first ladies' transistorised watch in 1970. In 1967, Lip and ESA started a co-operation to develop the R 50. After the first few thousands were sold in the USA, the sale in France and other countries started. |
