J.7 Roamer Micro-quartz


1972Produced by Roamer Watch Co.S.A. of Solothurn, Switzerland in co-operation with General Time Corporation in the USA, the presentation of the Roamer Microquartz takes place in 1972 at the Basle Fair. The Roamer Microquartz has integrated circuits by SSS and RCA and a quartz crystal by ESA. Caliber MST 900, 901 and 902.
1973An improved version of the Roamer-Microquartz goes on sale in the shops in May of 1973. This is the first cheap quartz watch. Available in twelve different models.
